Allen\u2019s English translation from Abu\u2019l-Quasim\u2019s Treatise on Ceramics. The translation can be found here: https:\/\/islamicceramics.ashmolean.org\/Glossary\/abulqasim.htm<\/p>\n<p>Abu\u2019l-Qasim\u2019s treatise on the manufacture of tiles and other ceramic objects is part of a larger work by the same author, exists in two manuscripts, dated 700\/1301 and 991\/1583 respectively.<\/p>\n<p>I decided to try and recreate fritpaste from the recipe given. The objects I created from the paste were white and durable.
